Fergie To Front Candie’s Campaign

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas has shot a fergilicious new advertising campaign for junior brand Candie’s.
She joins past Candie’s spokespeople Destiny’s Child, Hilary Duff, Dixie Chicks and Jenny McCarthy. Candie’s is sold exclusively at Kohl’s department stores and on Kohls.com.
The first television ad of the campaign will debut during the Grammys, airing live from Los Angeles Feb. 11 on CBS.
“I had so much fun shooting the campaign, playing up the glam side of my personality, and I am excited to have my current single, ‘Glamorous’ be the music for the TV commercial,” the singer said in a statement released Wednesday.
Will.I.Am Worried About The Music Industry

Black Eyed Peas band member William James Adam Jr. (AKA Will.I.Am) admits he is worried that the lavish lifestyle he enjoys, will not be possible for the next generation of artists in the music business.
“IT’S nerve-racking for me,” confesses “Will.i.am”, producer of the Pussycat Dolls, digital entrepreneur and founder-member of rap group Black Eyed Peas. “I’m afraid the music industry is falling apart. I’m on a mission to save it so I can continue to make a living.”
James Adam Jr. is in Cannes, France this week for Midem, the music industry’s annual deal-making and networking forum. His sobering opinion of the state of the music business, is backed up by many others in the industry.
One executed laid out the fight against digital piracy in simple terms.
“The customer is in control of our future,” says Roger Faxon, chief executive of EMI Music Publishing, demonstrating the new realism. “We must stop the view that ‘if we make it, they will take it’.”

Michael Jackson will be released his next album online, and doesn’t need the support of a major labe, according to Black Eyed Peas member Will.I.Am who has been collaborating with the fallen King of Pop on new material.
He said: “Michael is the one act who doesn’t need a record label. He can do it all through social networking sites.
“We sat there in Ireland writing song melodies that are gonna affect people emotionally and rhythms that are gonna make people dance.
Apart from Jackson, Will.I.Am - real name William James Adam Jr. - has collaborated with a host of top international music stars.
Fergalicious Thrills Cannes Audience

BLACK EYED PEAS singer Fergie, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera stole the show at the annual NRJ Music awards in Cannes by singing live, while most of the French artists mimed, on Saturday night.
Christina later came up trumps when she scooped two awards. Nelly Furtado, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake were among the other winners.
The Black Eyed Peas added to presenters lineup for 49th Annual Grammy Awards

Nelly Furtado, The Black Eyed Peas and Ciara will appear as presenters on the 49th Annual GRAMMY(R) Awards, it was announced today by The Recording Academy(R). Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake, and Carrie Underwood will perform.
Previously announced performers include Beyoncé, the Dixie Chicks, Gnarls
Barkley and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Previously announced presenters include
Terrence Howard, Samuel L. Jackson, P!nk, and Rihanna.
The music industry’s premiere event will take place live on Sunday, Feb.
11, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in on the Global
Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), and preceded by an ET Canada
pre-GRAMMY(R) special. The GRAMMY(R) Awards show also will be supported on
radio via Westwood One worldwide and XM Satellite Radio, and covered online at GRAMMY.yahoo.com.

Will.i.am To Produce Michael Jackson’s Comeback Album

Michael Jackson is set to draft in Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am to produce his comeback album.
The 31 year old rapper/singer revealed the new and says he’s overjoyed to be working with the King of Pop.
According to the Mirror he said: “I’ve been doing a lot of brainstorming with Jackson. Man, he still sings like a bird.”
“I think we have a real opportunity to do something here. It’s either gonna be really big orr nobody’s gonna care. Ain’t no middle ground.”
And Jackson is equally thrilled to be working with the Pea, he said: “I think he’s doing wonderful, innovative, positive, great music.”
“I thought it would be interesting to collaborate or just see how the chemistry worked.”
