Black Eyed Peas Get It Started at Vegas Concert After-Party

The party has started- and there’s a surprise addition of superstar Usher to the all-VIP celebrity lineup for Vegas this weekend! Usher will be rocking at TAO in the Venetian not only tonight but he’s also joining bosomy-blonde Pamela Anderson who’s flying in from Vancouver tomorrow for the Dec. 31 midnight countdown!
And the world’s hottest music group of the moment, the Black Eyed Peas kicked it all off early this morning at TAO after their Mandalay Bay concert. On hand were Will I Am, Taboo and Apl.de.ap along with their musicians and dancers.
“We’re partying till 6am” Will I Am told me flashing a giant thumbs up.” It was a great concert here but we’ve now got to jet down to Rio de Janeiro for New Years Eve to play there — so we may as well hang out here at TAO, party and then just go straight to the plane. We can sleep the 10-hours all the way down there! Being a star is tough with all the travel. We spend more time moving from one place to another than we spend playing.”
Black Eyed Peas worry about ‘Thinking’ album

The Black Eyed Peas are worried about alienating their fanbase with their upcoming album, because it tackles contemporary social and political issues.
The hip-hop group are near completing the follow-up to 2005’s smash hit Monkey Business disc, and they describe their new songs as “thinking” music.
He says, “We have 12 songs and we’ll probably do another 30 or 40 songs.”
“(It’s) a fun record… We are not complaining. It’s not, ‘Oh everything is messed up! Oh my gosh, we’re doomed!’
“It’s a thinking record. It brings up what’s happening in the world. Monkey Business didn’t do that.”
“We’re afraid of losing what got us here, and that was humbleness and thunder. It’s easier now than it was in 1996. But it’s still that fear of losing that drive and motivation and determination now that you’ve accomplished something.”
“That’s what’s scary to us.”
Black-Eyed Peas Interview

“We always write together in one room. We jump around and sometimes we even try to see the stage when we are writing.”
Black Eyed Peas are keeping it real real. With hip-hop music influenced by soul, jazz and Latin rhythms. With a live band. With pumpin’ live shows that inspire Black Eyed Peas to bust into acrobatic movements and that drive audiences to a frenzy.
“Just cuz we dress the way we do and perform with a band doesn’t mean we’re not hip-hop”, begins Will.I.Am, Black Eyed Peas’ co-founder and lead rapper.” That’s who we are and we’re not about fronting. This isn’t about an image; this is about the music, whether it fits in the current scene or not.” Behind (as in beyond) the fronting, behind (as in to the rear of in) the surface skin, behind (as in advocating) the music are three MC’s: Main mic man Will.I.Am, acrobatic Apl.de.Ap (apple-d-ap) and hypnotizing Taboo. Add a four-piece band plus one stunning back-up singer.
The Duchess of York is in Peas talks

Sarah Ferguson “Fergie” has told of her annoyance Black-Eyed Peas singer Fergie called her new album The Dutchess.
The Duchess of York, 46, admitted: “A call would have been nice.”
But she later got Fergie to perform for one of her charities.
The Duchess and daughters Beatrice, 18, and Eugenie, 16, went on the town early yesterday in London after celebrating the Queen’s 80th birthday at the Ritz.
Black Eyed Peas deliver virtual variety show

‘Tis the season for multi-act, radio-sponsored concert extravaganzas. Although the Black Eyed Peas’ tour-ending homecoming gig Friday at Staples Center wasn’t one of those radio-driven popaloozas, it certainly played like one.
Joining the Peas on the bill were P. Diddy’s latest “Making the Band” concoction Danity Kane, Latin hip-hop soul crooner Frankie J and rising R&B songstress Ciara. Actor Wilmer Valderrama hosted the festivities, and even KIIS-FM DJ JoJo made his presence known, even if it was only via a mobile speakerphone held into the microphone.
As for the Peas themselves, the quartet has evolved into more than just an act but rather a self-contained virtual variety show. During their two-hour set, Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) — the one Pea to officially stray from the pod with a solo album — delivered her recent Gwen Stefani-inspired hits “London Bridge” and “Fergalicous” to the delight of the crowd. The band’s other three members — William “will.i.am” Adams, Allan Pineda, and Jaime Gomez — also took solo turns, showcasing their ethnic pride with Pineda’s Filipino anthem “Bebot” standing out. Also included in the set was a brief “Stomp”-like percussion performance, a break-dancing segment and a jam by the Bucky Jonson, the four-member combo that provides the Peas’ instrumental support.
Black Eyed Peas Announce New Year’s Shows

Black Eyed Peas and Scissor Sisters have announced ambitious plans to play five gigs in five different countries this New Year’s Eve.
The bands will criss-cross the globe, playing in Hong Kong and Mumbai, India before the Scissor Sisters headline at the Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, whilst the Black Eyed Peas head for Inanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The final gig, which will also be available on-line as part of Nokia’s Five Cities One Party broadcast, will then take place in New York.
Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am says, “It’s great to take part in this event because one we love Brazil, two because we’ll be in Brazil, three because Brazil is a great place to bring in the New Year, four because Brazil’s scenery is beautiful and five its the New Year.”
First live DVD for the Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas will release their first live DVD, “Live From Sydney to Vegas,” on December 5. Bonus footage includes videos for “Union” and “Bebot” and a live performance of Fergie’s “London Bridge.”
FERGIE has confessed she is a workaholic

The singer - who released her first solo album The Dutchess earlier this year - admits she is happy to work 24/7 because she is so petrified about her success fading.
Fergie - who dates Las Vegas actor JOSH DUHAMEL - said: “You can’t assume any success.
“Usually artists spend time in the studio recording an album, then they do prep, then they do press. And then they tour.
“Most find it hard but I love it.
“I even get up at three in the morning sometimes to work.”
