Everybody else is doing it so why can’t Fergie?

Fergie continues the en-vogue trend of re-issuing a top selling album with new material - and she’s honest about why she’s doing it.
“That’s what everyone’s doing nowadays, I hear,” she told MTV. “The label came to me and said this would be a good idea, and I thought, ‘Well, OK, if this is another way for me to put out these songs that I’ve been wanting people to hear, then great.’ The music business is changing, and this repackage thing is a new way for people to put out songs that they want people to hear, so I’m cool with it.”
The “Deluxe Edition” of “The Dutchess” will drop in record stores on May 27th, and include a hot little number with rapper Nelly.

Black Eyed Peas will record new album together

Fergie insists the Black Eyed Peas will return to the studio together and record a new album, despite all four of the founding members being busy with their own projects.
“We don’t have an album yet, a Black Eyed Peas album,” Fergie told WENN. “We haven’t had time; everybody’s been constantly working, as we always do. But we will have an album. We’re not going away.”
“The thing with us is it’s such a great family, and we’ve always been honest with each other,” Fergie continues. “I love the beauty of having both, because being a solo artist is my dream, and it’s really important to me to have my own voice. But I also love working with the Peas. I think everybody feels the same way.”
The group are set to perform together at the Live Earth concert in London next month, and Fergie says she’s excited to be getting back together with her bandmates to perform live.

Fergie takes Alanis “diss” well

Black Eyed Peas star Fergie has reportedly taken the Alanis Morrissette remake of “My Humps” well. According to TMZ, the Fergalicious star sent flowers to Alanis after viewing the video.
A source close to the pop star told TMZ that Fergie thought Morissette’s version was “brilliant,” and admitted to getting a huge kick out of it because she has a great sense of humor about these things. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Alanis Morissette released a remake of the classic Black Eyed Peas “My Humps” on April fools day for fans on the YouTube video sharing service.
The Ironic singer shot the quirky spoof in front of a huge white sheet and posted it online as an April Fool’s Day joke for her fans.
The Black Eyed Peas star Fergie is the focus of the spoof video as Morissette lampoons the group’s My Humps hit and mocks the singer’s sexy moves - badly.
In the clip, Morissette also makes fun of herself and stars like Tori Amos and Vanessa Carlton, who sing heartfelt songs behind a piano.
Fergie discusses Lesbian past

Black Eyed Peas singer Stacey “Fergie” Ferguson has revealed she has had lesbian experiences in the past, and got caught up in the drugs culture of Los Angeles.
Fergie, 31, said she rebelled against a Catholic upbringing and went on a wild sex and drugs spree when she got to 18.
She added: “I have had lesbian experiences in the past. I won’t say how many men I’ve had sex with - but I am a very sexual person.
“When I was going through my out-of-control phase, I could have got into very dangerous situations.”
Fergie, real name Stacy Ferguson, also got drawn into Los Angeles’ sordid drug and gang culture.
She added: “I had a gun put to my head during a drug deal that went wrong. Luckily I got out of it.”
